Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports at the age of fourteen years old. Following her training in kickboxing, boxing BJJ and wrestling, she had her first professional fight against Jaimee Nievera at WCFC when she was just 18. Ladd was able to beat three times consecutively at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were defeated within the first few minutes. In WCFC Ladd was able to defeat Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous vote. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian, before heading to fight Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen, and beat her in a unanimously voted victory. Cynthia's amateur records were damaged. Ladd beat Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff to improve her amateur record to 8-1. Aspen began her career in 2015after signing with Invicta FC for her professional debut. She faced Ana Carolina Vidal at Invicta FC 11 and dominated her, securing a first-round TKO. The next time she fought, she won with Amanda Cooper via second-round armbar submission. She then fought at Bantamweight for her next fight at Invicta FC 16. Aspen used her superior wrestler skills to knock down McGill and ended her via the third round TKO(elbows as well as punches). Aspen next faced Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) as a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd was unable to put on weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy by using TKO. Invicta FC21 was her last bout for the company. She defeated Sijara Ebanks with a majority decision. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She faced Linalansberg during UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina by using her ground and pound techniques which resulted in a TKO second round victory. Ladd remained in the lead, and won an even bigger victory against Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd beat Evinger within the first few seconds and received a bonus for her performance on the evening. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for an rematch of UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. The two fighters had one of the most competitive fights that Ladd won by unanimous decision. Both fighters were awarded an award called the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd in just 16 seconds, putting an end to her win streak. She bounced back and finished Yana Kunitskaya during the third round in UFC at ESPN 7. She fought Norma Dumont as a substitute in her last fight with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in a unanimous verdict.
