Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe was raised in an ethnically mixed family. Her mother is English and her father Nigerian. She was born on a South London community estate, and at the age of 14, attended The Brit School. The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she obtained the BA in acting. She performed in various performances on stage during her school days, including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe first began her acting career with Storm Damage. Since then, she has been a guest star on Teachers, Doctors, Casualty, and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was opposite Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. After this success, Madekwe appeared as Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured for six seasons Trexx and Flipside. In 2008, she was offered the Bambi character on ITV2 Drama The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. Secret Diary of a Call Girl. She appeared in two series, 2 and 3. Madekwe was the main character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others. The comedy released in 2008. She also appeared as a character in Little Sweet Thing, by Roy Williams, and Flight Path which was written composed by David Watson.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which just aired two episodes for The CW before being cancelled. In February of 2011 she was cast as Ashley Davenport in the ABC drama series Revenge. After being a regular for the initial two seasons it was announced in May 2013 that she would depart the series following an appearance as a guest in the pilot episode in the season's third. From 2014-2016, Madekwe starred in the role of Tituba in the TV series Salem. Madekwe and her boyfriend for many years, Iddo Goldenberg, were wedding in June of 2012. Both of them have been in Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They also played as partners in Salem.
Ashley Leggat is a Gemini-nominated actress who was raised in the large family. She was born to Roy and Patty Leggat. Her parents, Roy and Patty and her brothers Brett, Todd, and Bram and Bram, were present. The brothers of Ashley were extremely athletic and played baseball and hockey in the summer and winter. Her childhood was spent in baseball and arenas. Ashley didn't walk, instead she danced. In the age of two and half, she found Baby Ballet. It was then that she discovered Ashley's interest in dance. After graduating from the high school she attended, Ashley danced competitively in the top divisions in tap, jazz, ballet pointe, acrobatics musical theatre, lyrical, and hip-hop. She was crowned the top soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
